Luveris Product Indications
Lutropin alfa is indicated for the treatment of infertility due to hypogonadism with LH deficiency.
Luveris Dosage and Administration
- Subcutaneous dosage 75 IU once daily in combination with follitropin alfa (Gonal-f®) 75-150 IU once daily until adequate follicular development occurs. To complete treatment, hCG should also be given 1 day after the last dose of lutropin alfa and follitropin alfa.
- Do not exceed 14 days
- Maximum: 75 IU/day
Luveris Warnings, Side Effects and Potential Drug Interactions
- Common side effects: headache, nausea, breast pain, abdominal pain, injection site reaction, diarrhea, constipation, pain, fatigue, flatulence, and lack of menstruation.
- Should not be used in patients with uncontrolled adrenal insufficiency or thyroid disorder or patients with intracranial lesions.
Luveris Storage
Store under refrigeration at 2 – 8 degrees C (36 – 46 degrees F) and use immediately after reconstitution. Avoid excessive heat, humidity, and light.
